Patrick Kondziola, AIA is an architect and educator who recently relocated to the Midwest. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at Florida Atlantic University and holds degrees in Architecture from Yale University and Florida Atlantic University.

Before pursuing his advanced degree at Yale, Patrick worked at T. R. Hamzah & Yeang Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he contributed to several prominent projects. Notably, he worked on the PAM+UIA+1MDB International Design Competition for the KLIFD Signature Tower in Kuala Lumpur, a project shortlisted alongside Foster + Partners and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). He also worked on a complex private residence for the Sultan of Selangor, which remains unpublished.

Following his graduation from Yale, Patrick provided residential design services as part of hurricane relief efforts in the Florida Keys after Hurricane Irma. Collaborating with local multidisciplinary firms, he helped rehabilitate and construct over 50 elevated homes in high flood-risk coastal areas.

In recent years, Patrick has worked with various local firms in Florida on residential and small-scale commercial projects. His architectural interests span ecological design, influenced by his time with Dr. Ken Yeang at T. R. Hamzah & Yeang, and the replication of resilient, prototypical structures, such as elevated stilt homes in the Keys. Patrick is particularly drawn to architecture's capacity to respond not only to technological systems but also to broader political and environmental contexts.
